Hi.
I'm Avery.

Multi-Disciplinary Product Designer

I'm a holistic designer, which is to say, I'm an artist, writer, engineer, and entrepreneur rolled up into a product designer. I embrace wearing a great many hats and helping startups scale their businesses through innovative, future-proof designs.

Since 2020, I’ve been designing with empathy, always on a mission to champion users and create meaningful experiences. I’m currently the founding designer at Flashbook, where I’m building the first client management system tailored specifically for tattoo and commission artists.

My goal is to blend functionality and aesthetics to solve real-world problems while staying focused on users’ needs and long-term satisfaction.

My Story.

I approach life with the mantra that creation is survival. In my free time, I seek to satiate other creative outlets through activities like art, creative writing, pottery, or music. I crave to learn. You’ll find me chasing rainbows, old and new, challenging myself to try new things and learn all I can.

I’m passionate about building relationships across diverse communities and supporting others in their unique journeys toward fulfillment. In the workplace, I advocate for inclusivity as an active member of DEIB boards, a volunteer speaker on neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ allyship, and a supportive colleague who routinely checks in on others and organizes events to foster an inclusive, welcoming culture.

When I’m not engaged in creating things myself, you’ll find me enjoying the works of others. I read (let’s talk Samuel Beckett, Lewis Carroll, or Albert Camus), I play games (I will make you play Kena: Bridge of Spirits), I go to concerts (if Paramore’s within 500 miles, you know where I’ll be), and I watch plays and movies (Shakespeare Festival, anyone?). I enjoy traveling and seeing the world, and I especially love to be near the ocean (even better if I can see otters or swing a golf club nearby).
